About Rabiya Shamna
Rabiya Shamna is a dedicated DCD-licensed Psychologist with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a strong professional focus on supporting children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral needs.She is also pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology,reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice.
With experience in early intervention and rehabilitation settings, Rabiya has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), and other developmental and behavioral challenges.She provides individualized support aimed at developing communication, social, adaptive, functional, and behavioral skills while promoting greater independence and participation in daily life.
Rabiya has completed her RBT coursework and 40-hour ABAT training and is currently pursuing QBA training,strengthening her knowledge and practical skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based behavioral interventions.
Her experience includes implementing individualized intervention programs, supporting IEP and ITP goals,developing skill-acquisition programs, managing challenging behaviors through positive and structured approaches, and supporting children in building functional and social skills. She also has experience with child-centered assessments, behavioral observation, case history taking, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Rabiya believes that every child has unique strengths, abilities, and potential. Her approach is child-centered, individualized, compassionate, and family-focused ,with an emphasis on creating a supportive environment where children can learn, develop, and achieve meaningful progress.
She is passionate about early intervention and rehabilitation and is committed to working closely with children, families, educators, and multidisciplinary professionals to support each child’s developmental journey and help them reach their fullest potential.
