Areej Alhijawi is a pediatric Occupational Therapist dedicated to supporting children’s independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in their daily routines. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Jordan and has experience in early intervention and multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Ayres Sensory Integration, developmental motor learning, play‑based engagement, and family‑centred care. She focuses on sensory regulation, motor skill development, visual–motor integration, handwriting readiness, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, and grooming.
Areej works with children across a wide range of developmental profiles, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and motor coordination challenges.
She strives to create a therapeutic environment where children feel safe, valued, and understood, while empowering families with practical strategies that support skill development across home, school, and community settings.
